Sedna Workshop
Facilitated by David Thorogood
Saturday 18th July 10.30 - 12.30pm
The discovery of a new planet is understood to mirror the dawn of something new in humanity. In 2003 a dwarf planet with an orbit of 11,400 years was discovered and named Sedna. Sedna is one of the coldest places in the solar system due to its extreme distance from the sun. She was named after the Inuit creation goddess Sedna. In the workshop we will hear the myth of Sedna and then express through dance, paint and words our felt personal connection to the story.
We will have the opportunity to share our creations and insights in the group.
PRICE $20
Basic art materials and paper will be provided but please bring your own materials if you prefer.
