TRALALA BLIP
Northern Rivers electronic pop collective making music together for almost two decades. Performances include Unsound Krakow, Dark Mofo, ZKM Karlsruhe, Soft Centre and ART|JOG Yogyakarta, with a new album coming through Someone Good / Room40 in 2027.
PRIMITIVE MOTION
Primitive Motion is the collaborative project of Brisbane artists Sandra Selig and Leighton Craig. Since 2010 they have existed as a treasured beacon in the outer territories of the Australian underground, releasing nine albums of their dream-float musical dialogue, exhibiting visual/audio collaborations and performing in a diverse range of settings. Inhabiting the liminal space between improvisation and song, they have gently unlocked a uniquely divergent soundworld that haunts the fringes of long form exploration, folk, fuzzy motorik groove, echo-saturated pop and foggy electronics.
AT/DC
Australian multi-instrumentalist composers and improvisers Andrew Tuttle and Darren Cross present AT/DC, a debut duo album released on the esteemed Room40 label’s Someone Good imprint on 2 October 2026. Tuttle and Cross blend banjo and acoustic guitar motifs with digital synthesis, processed electronics and manipulated field recordings to create a body of work as melodic as it is adventurous.
Darren Cross first turned heads in the 1990s with groundbreaking band Gerling and, as D.C. Cross, has continued across eight albums to refine the notion of ecstatic guitar. Andrew Tuttle dwells in an exploratory musical world where the five- string banjo sits serenely with shimmering waves of decay and reverberation. He has released five solo albums and collaborative works with SUSS, Mike Cooper, Padang Food Tigers and the estate of Michael Chapman on labels including Room40, Basin Rock, Mistletone, Longform Editions and Bedroom Suck.
Samhain 26 marks the South East Queensland debut of this release!
PEYO
Multi-instrumentalist Peyo Pappadopoulos explores the piano as a space for improvisation and composition, moving between repetitive, abrasive structures and minimal, ambient sound. Influenced by Alice Coltrane, Julius Eastman and Milford Graves, his solo work follows the flowing energy and momentum of the music.
UNREGISTERED MASTER BUILDER
Unregistered Master Builder is the project of Portland-born, Brisbane-based artist Joseph E Burgess. Working across textiles, sound, kinetic art and custom instrument building, his practice explores the political and technological dimensions embedded in processes of making. In 2025, his performance work received the Best Music award at the New Interfaces for Musical Expression (NIME) conference.
MUTTER
