THE KEEPER PROJECT Exhibition
28th March – 16th April
THE KEEPER COLLECTION AT THE OLD AMBO GALLERY
The Keeper Project has been a live public art project where artists work in a temporary role as observer, collector, maker and storyteller within the community.
The Old Ambo Gallery is hosting a collection of logbooks, artefacts, and rarities from the 11 artists who have been exploring the streets of Nambour, uncovering the town's uniqueness.
In conjunction with these artists, we are also celebrating the origins of The Keeper Project, beginning in Coolum in 2021, sharing another 11 artists' artefacts from their time as Keepers.
The Keepers are archaeologists of stories. Each had their own artistic practice, their own ritual and their own way of connecting in with local stories, places, history and culture and this collection showcases the uniqueness of each place and the people in it.
