HOW TO MAKEOVER THE NAMBOUR TOWN CENTRE IN 7 DAYS, David’s talk is part of the Old Ambo’s Disruption and Drinks Series - occasional talks, mingle and drinks on creative social entrepreneurship.

Too much planning and community engagement is killing our public spaces. David Engwicht and his team of place makers have been transforming town centres across Australia and New Zealand in just seven days… and this includes: community engagement, design, forming community-driven project teams and delivery of the makeover.

David will explain the core concepts behind his approach, and what other towns have achieved.

David Engwicht is the inventor of the Walking School Bus and the 7 Day Makeover. Project for Public Spaces in New York describe David as, “One of the world’s most innovative thinkers on creating vibrant public spaces”.

David’s books on urban design and place making have been used as texts in university courses.
