Dear Friends of the Old Ambulance Station,
We are concerned about the safety and wellbeing of you, your family and your friends as the current situation in Australia is unfolding in regard to COVID-19.
Like so many of our arts industry colleagues across the state and the country, the Old Ambo has taken the unenviable step of closing our exhibition gallery and suspending our exhibitions and gallery events until further notice. This will be effective immediately and includes upcoming exhibition openings, Long Table Dinners (the 16th of each month) and the exhibitions Me & Leonard & An Old Piano (artist Jo Williams) and Portrait Artist Trapped Inside A Plumber, Breaks Out After 30 Years (artist Terry Gillam).
These are very peculiar times as we all navigate our way through this together. While our day to day lives are being impacted upon – please remember the power of the arts. Read, watch movies, play music, dance, share stories (and don’t forget to exercise!). Also think about those artists who will be dramatically affected by this situation. So many will be doing it tough in the coming months, so please assist where you can so that we can all bounce back to keep our culture alive.
Meantime we will maintain our vigilance and will communicate any additional changes, requests or information that we believe will assist during this period of uncertainty.
