WE TRUELY ARE AN OLD AMBULANCE STATION!
Whilst the history of an ambulance station serving Nambour and surrounds from 80 Howard Street starts in 1922, the existing building was opened in August 1958 by the then premier of Queensland, Sir Francis Nicklin.
If you’ve a friend who hasn’t visited the Old Ambo, the Sunshine Coast Open House Day on Saturday 20th October is a great opportunity to bring them. We’ll be open from 10.00am to 3.00pm to show visitors to the Old Ambo the transformation today to a hub for creative industries and social enterprise.
And whilst you are visiting be inspired by our current feature exhibition ‘Considered Design and Resourceful Living,’ presented as part of this year’s Sunshine Coast Open House program.
