This year the Ambo is trialling a series of residencies to build a Maker Program that embraces creatives across the arts sector. The Maker Program is a key part of the Ambo’s social enterprise, encouraging people to connect and share resources, collaborate, network, trial, test and build up their skill base and their business.

The first Maker Residency Recycling for Beginners in April made products from discards and maker Lucy Yule of Trashy Artisan said she ‘found it very productive as it allowed us to refine our products and services and meet new partners, customers and collaborators. Our conversations with the general public enabled us to highlight new avenues for progress and opened opportunities for expansion. https://www.facebook.com/thetrashyartisan/
