HOW TO WRITE AND RECORD A SONG, HOLIDAY WORKSHOP

Created specifically for 13 to 17 year olds, this How to Write and Record a Song School Holiday Workshop comprises 2, 4 hour sessions conducted over 2 consecutive days.  During this workshop you’ll be shown the essential skills to compose your own music, the approaches to lyric writing and you’ll participate in the recording of a demonstration recording of a co-written song in a professional recording studio.

On the first day you’ll receive information on the key elements to song writing. You’ll then have the opportunity to participate in a group song writing session guided by professional song writers. In this workshop you’ll also experience the methods that you can use in the future to create your own completed songs. On the second day of the workshop your song writing group will record a demo of the co-written song in a professional recording studio.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in the recording and observe how recorded songs are put together. At the completion of the workshop you’ll take away a copy of the completed song.
