GROWING A WISDOM ECOLOGY
There is joke by Groucho Marx that goes like this - ‘time wounds all heels’. If you go into the meaning of that you have an example of wisdom. What it is saying is that persons, and societies for that matter, who follow their ruthless self-interests without any concern for other living things or the natural world eventually lose their way in the world. They may of course be materially successful for a time, especially for a small minority of people, but in due course the chickens of ignorance will come home to roost and we will more often experience the kind of chaotic societies that we are now developing.
Peter Wertheim’s talk will reflect on the wisdom of our actions. This talk and event is sponsored by ComLink.
